Sunnybrae Vineyards at French Farm, is a family operated vineyard on the Western shores of Akaroa Harbour, New Zealand and the home of Akaroa Harbour Wines owned by Jenny, Tony and Nick Walls.
The vineyard is located on the north facing slopes in a valley providing natural shelter. The sunny slopes combined with its proximity to the coast leaves the vineyard frost free during the growing season. Wines from Sunnybrae are carefully handpicked and crafted into wine reflective of Banks Peninsula and Akaroa.
Sunnybrae Vineyards promotes and distributes its exclusive boutique wines under the label Akaroa Harbour Wines. The three hectare vineyard was planted in the spring of 1992 and produces Pinot Noir, Merlot, Chardonnay, Riesling and Malbec grapes. Since its establishment the vineyard has continued a proud tradition of faithful, dedicated husbandry to grow grapes and produce wine that is uniquely Akaroa.
